"We must understand that in order to love as Jesus does, we must offer to others the gift of ourselves.  And it is only in the giving of ourselves through charity, service, and compassion that we can experience true joy"
 - Pope John Paul II

Several years ago Christ the King parish established a Stewardship Committee. Its first purpose was to educate the parish as to the true meaning of stewardship. Our desire was to break people out of the old mindset that stewardship is only concerned with the giving of money and bring them to a realization that true stewardship involves the whole self. It involves caring for the many gifts which God has entrusted to us, our time and our talents as well as our treasure. It is also the desire of the committee to encourage people to enter into a stewardship lifestyle, living for God. Current members of the committee are listed below. If you feel that God is calling you to share your talents by becoming a member of the committee please contact the parish office.

Your gift of time and talent is stewardship in action."
